TLDR: This summary is provided for convenience; please review the full Payment and Refund Policy for detailed information. We accept various payment methods and generally do not offer refunds, except in specific circumstances. Some services and deposits are non-refundable. Cancellation policies and dispute resolution methods are also outlined. Any updates to this policy will be posted here. Contact Courtney Hart at info@thereforeilearn.com with any questions.

Payment Methods

We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, Link payments, and PayPal. Payment processing is handled by secure third-party providers like Stripe. Specific providers may change over time, but we will always use secure and reputable services.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds are generally not provided, except at the discretion of the provider in specific circumstances. Training deposits are non-refundable. Clients may apply their payment to a future training with at least two weeks’ notice. If we cancel a service or training, clients will be offered a full refund or the option to apply their payment to a future service.

Non-Refundable Items

Most services and deposits are non-refundable, including consultation packages, ongoing services, and work agreements. Consultation packages expire within 6 months, and ongoing services are purchased in 3-month increments, renewed automatically, with a 30-day notice required for non-renewal.

Cancellations

  • Client-Initiated Cancellations: For scheduled sessions, clients must provide a minimum of one business day’s notice to reschedule without penalty. If less than one business day’s notice is given, the client may reschedule within the same week if availability permits; otherwise, the session will be forfeited unless due to an emergency. Documentation may be required to reschedule without penalty due to an emergency.

  • Provider-Initiated Cancellations: In the event that we must cancel a scheduled service or training, clients will be offered either a full refund or the option to apply their payment to a future service or training.

Refund Process

When refunds are provided, they will typically appear on your statement within 5 to 10 business days.

Dispute Resolution

Mediation: In the event of any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the issue through mediation. The mediation will be conducted by a mediator mutually agreed upon by both parties. Each party will bear its own costs of mediation, and the costs of the mediator will be shared equally.

Arbitration: If the dispute cannot be resolved through mediation within 30 days, the parties agree to submit the dispute to binding arbitration. The arbitration will be conducted in accordance with the rules of Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS) and will take place in Baltimore, Maryland. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding on both parties. Each party will bear its own costs of arbitration, and the costs of the arbitrator will be shared equally.

Jurisdiction and Venue: Any legal action or proceeding relating to these Terms and Conditions shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Baltimore, Maryland. The parties consent to the jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to the convenience of this forum.
